The Spirit of Christmas at it's best

So in the spirit of christmas, i share the following story...

I'm at St.Vital this afternoon so the boys can go to the "build a Bear" place.

Mall is smoking busy - parking is almost impossible to find. I spotted a spot and was fortunate to get one. As I am moving the stuff into the rear hatch .. a car pulls into the space beside me.
I hear this car horn just go off - loud angry, and long. As i finish moving the stuff in the back - this little european lady bout 5'2" with a thick accent starts yelling "Vat- ar yu blinnd?

She gets to the car next to me and and and starts banging on the roof of this car with tinted windows, repeated her scream again. " I vas wating zere with mi turn siGnal on to turn into this spot!"

Meanwhile these two HUGE black guys get out of the car (probably 6'3" 190lbs.)
She continues on her rant about how ignorant and rude they were for taking HER space.

Words exchanged back and forth - Fukk u etc.

Finally she starts walking back to her car fuming (which she left running with door open)

And she says in her heavy accent....

"Yu shud go back to ze country zat you came frum!"

Guy responds in perfect english " I was born here - you should go back to yours. Are YOU even from here?"

I walk by quietly -restraining my self from wishing her a Merry Christmas.

I notice as i walk to the mall that there are about 4 empty spaces behind her...

Gotta love christmas.

An unfortunate burnout

I was heading to work early one morning when i noticed the sign on the grocery store was burnt out - seems a little ominous.......

Creative act of God

At easter time my kid painted this picture - kind looks like a person with a halo and a crucifix.

Hmm?

Government wisdom

So it was determined that the wooden play structure at the forks was after 20 years - unusable.

They decided that since they had no plans for replacing the park, or use for the now empty space. That they should use bobcats and other implements of destruction to completely demolish all the slides, structures that were there earlier this spring.

Now when families go to see play at this park which was always busy on weekends and during the week - they now have a huge torn up hole in the ground.

I don't know why they couldn't have waited to do this after the summer when the kids are back in school. It's great they have a skateboard park, snowboard run; however these too will probably be ripped up by the time my kids are old enough to use them.

I've been dreading having this conversation with my kids to tell them there favorite structure is gone. But that day has come.

I guess at least they got the new trees established better......
